Bici is a timeless neighborhood trattoria serving classic Italian favorites that happen to be vegan. With a focus on delicious, fresh food, a comfortable dining room, and moderate price point, our aim is to provide a dining experience that, for vegans, recalls a time when we could go into a neighborhood restaurant and order anything off the menu.
The menu is uncomplicated and focused, with just a handful of well-executed dishes. No french fries, sandwiches, or extraneous dishes to fill space. Instead, handmade pastas with delicate sauces, rustic pizzas with housemade non-dairy cheeses meant for sharing, thoughtful vegetable-centric recipes, and appetizers like arancini and a charcuterie platter with beet salami will comprise the offerings.
The goal is to open Bici in the Rittenhouse Square area, with 30 seats and a 10-seat bar. We believe that a BYOB would provide an intimate experience, but that a liquor license will expand our clientele, allowing us to reach a market beyond vegans seeking it out as a destination.
