Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays: cozy family times, gathering around a table to remember all the good stuff in life, and feasting like there's no tomorrow! However, for vegetarians, vegans, and others with dietary restrictions or allergies, this holiday can be a tough one. So many of the dishes that get passed around the table aren't friendly to our needs, and having an emptier plate than the rest of the fam can sometimes highlight our dietary differences and cause moments of (subtle...or not so subtle) awkwardness. Surely, many of us have experienced the potentially well meaning, but kinda backhanded line of questioning from relatives about our choices, our reasoning and, of course, the groan-inducing "So, what can you even eat?" inquiry.

Can we help take a bit of the pressure off? For going on 6 years, Miss Rachel's Pantry has been preparing special fresh, tasty vegan meals that pack up nice and tidy and can be toted along to whatever table you pull your chair up to on Thanksgiving. Your plate will be brimming with food that fits right in with the "traditional" dishes of the day: a tender seitan roast filled with savory shiitake-sage bread stuffing, roasted brussels, carrots, kale, cranberries and walnuts, and of course, a heap of fluffy Yukon gold mashed potatoes with truffled mushroom-rosemary gravy!

This year, we'll be offering sizes for 1, 2, 4, 6 or 8 people. Email us holiday@missrachelspantry.com to order your meal today! All meals will be available for pick up or delivery during the two days preceding Thanksgiving (November 26th & 27th). Please hve your order placed by November 23rd.

This feast will be available around Christmas time, too! December 20th is the deadline for these orders! See here for more info and pricing.
